Join us for an engaging discussion on angel investing fundamentals from the perspectives of both the angel investor and the startup founder. The panel will feature an angel investor, a corporate strategic venture investor, and a founder from each investor’s portfolio companies. Christopher Mirabile, Chair Emeritus of the Angel Capital Association, will moderate.

Registration & refreshments start at 6:00 PM, panel with Q&A begins at 6:30 PM, and networking follows.

Panel Members
Barry Coffman, Angel Investor. Barry has been a professional investor and institutional money manager for 30 years. Barry serves as a board member or advisory board member for companies including Woo Sports, Testive, Smart Lunches, Punchbowl and Happie.

Jennifer Fremont-Smith, CEO Happie. Jennifer is the Founder and CEO of Happie, a software platform that enables you to build a database of your ideal candidates and market your open roles to them. Previously, she was founder and CEO of Krash and a co-founder of Smarterer.

Christopher Mirabile, Panel Moderator. Christopher is the Chair Emeritus of the Angel Capital Association and co-Managing Director of Launchpad Venture Group. Christopher is a full-time angel, having made more than 60 investments in start-ups.

Jordan Lofaro, Venture Investment Principal for the McClatchy Company. Jordan is responsible for growing McClatchy's portfolio of strategic venture investments in video creation, multimedia, and newstech. He directed McClatchy's recent investment in RadioPublic.

Jake Shapiro, CEO Radio Public. Jake is CEO of RadioPublic PBC, a digital platform that searches for, imports, and plays any podcast subscription. Previously, he was CEO and co-founder of Public Radio Exchange. Jake is also a founding partner at Matter, which funds media startups.
