We would like to make you aware of the following alumni statement of support for our alma mater and for the Association of American Colleges & Universities (AAC&U) letter, A Call for Constructive Engagement. The AAC&U statement was endorsed by Penn President, J. Larry Jameson, as well as over 500 other university presidents. Further participation of Wharton/Penn alumni is welcome for this alumni statement of support which was initiated by members of the Wharton Class of 1991 and has over 300 signatures so far.
Once there is a critical mass of alumni, the Class of 1991 plans to promote it publicly. This is one of several alumni activities in support of U.S. universities, including the 12,000 alumni who signed Harvard's amicus brief, recently backed by twenty-four universities, including Penn.
