Speaker Bio
Barry Coffman
Barry has been a professional investor and institutional money manager for 30 years. Currently he focuses his time on his angel investing activities through his membership in Launchpad Venture Group and his network in the startup community. Barry serves or has served as a board member or advisory board member for many of these companies including RealPlay Sports, Zippity, Smart Lunches, Happie, Woo Sports, Testive, Punchbowl and Pixability.
Erica Rice
Erica is a partner in the Business Department at Foley Hoag in Boston. Erica’s practice is focused on counseling early and mid-stage companies regarding entity formation, founder’s arrangements, financings, exit strategies and general corporate governance matters, as well as representing buyers and sellers in mergers and acquisitions and other strategic transactions. While she works across industries, Erica has significant experience representing technology and life sciences companies.
Charles de Gaspe Beaubien
Charles de Gaspe Beaubien is the founder of Groupize, the easy to use, end-to-end platform for Corporate Simple Meetings. Charles has enjoyed a 25-year career in the travel industry which included experiences co-founding a Rafting company, working for the Montreal CVB or serving in executive positions for major group tour operators including Yankee Holidays and Group Voyagers Inc. (Globus, Cosmos, Monograms and more). His hands on planning experience, combined with his understanding of the various travel technology fuels his passion to bring efficiencies to the difficult processes involved in sourcing and managing groups and simple meetings for planners and hotels. Charles has won various awards such as Entrepreneur of the Year in Quebec, Best Emerging Technology at PhoCusWright (2013) and Top 25 Most Influential Person in Business Travel (2017) and is currently a member of the GBTA Meetings Committee.
