Join fellow Wharton alumni to make a difference in Boston with Community Consulting Teams (CCT)

Make your favorite cocktail and join The Wharton Club of Boston and Community Consulting Teams of Boston (CCT Boston) for a virtual happy hour and conversation about community service and non-profit consulting on Thursday, October 28, 2021, at 7 pm. Meet over Zoom with service-minded Wharton alumni and hear about the Wharton Club’s partnership with CCT Boston to help local non-profits. CCT Boston assembles teams of MBA alumni from top business schools to provide strategic pro bono management consulting for local non-profit organizations. If you are a graduate of any of the Wharton affiliated business programs, we welcome you to join us. For more than ten years, the Wharton Club of Boston has been a proud sponsor of CCT volunteers, and we had 14 Wharton volunteers on projects this year!

Linda Saris, Executive Director of LEAP for Education will describe their organization’s first experience with CCT and the impact CCT has had on their organization. Located in Salem, MA, LEAP for Education empowers underserved youth to achieve economic and social mobility by cultivating educational, career and personal growth.

Wharton alumni who have served CCT as consultants, project managers, and board members will describe their experiences. You will also hear about some of the potential projects that will be staffed in the upcoming season.

We are now seeking volunteers for teams comprised of alumni from a variety of top business schools. As a CCT volunteer, you can benefit by:

  • Making an impact on a local non-profit in a fun and satisfying way
  • Networking with, and learning from MBA alumni from Wharton and other top schools with diverse backgrounds
  • Applying your business knowledge towards an interesting and challenging assignment
  • Learning how non-profits operate

The time commitment will be 3-5 hours per week, for five months. Projects kick off in January 2022 and run through May 2022 with project meetings largely virtual for this upcoming year.

Volunteer applications can be completed at www.cctboston.org and are due by November 5.

There's no cost to attend but you must RSVP. Registrants will receive a link on the morning of the meeting.
