Wharton Club of Boston, FODball Productions, and Jon Hirschtick invite you to this moderated conversation Entrepreneurial Prospectives: Through A Diverse Lense on Monday, May 8, 2023 at 6:00-7:00PM.
FODball Productions is dedicated to showcasing and uplifting comedians who are typically the “first, only, or different” on comedy lineups. To that end, FODball shows prominently feature the comedy of female, queer, and/or people of color. Amma Marfo, Jack Simon, and Steph Dalwin saw a gap in the comedy sector in Massachusetts. They produce, perform and write content for shows that feature first, only, or different” comedians.

Jon Hirschtick: Chief Evangelist at PTC, focusing on Onshape and our other SaaS products. Former General Manager Onshape Business at PTC, and Co-founder and former CEO at Onshape Inc. PTC acquired Onshape Inc. in Nov 2019. Onshape makes the world's first and only cloud native CAD and PDM system which includes rendering, collaboration, workflow, analytics, and many other tools.
Previously founded SolidWorks in 1993 and served as CEO, Group Executive and Board Member until 2011 watching SolidWorks grow to 2 million users and over $500 million / year in revenue. SolidWorks was sold to Dassault Systemes (DS) in 1997, and has since operated successfully as a DS subsidiary
Amma Marfo: After years of writing about comedy for The Interrobang, Splitsider, and her own website, Amma (she/her) decided to take to the stage – on the nudge of a dare set for her by her podcast co-hosts. Six years later, she’s appeared at Newport, RI’s Rogue Island Comedy Festival, NYC’s Black Women in Comedy Laff Fest and alongside comedians like Mia Jackson, Alingon Mitra, and Leighann Lord. Amma also released her first half hour special, "Enjoy Your Nachos," which is available on YouTube.
Jack Simon: Jack Simon (they/them/chairs) is a comedian, improviser, DnD enthusiast, and furniture aficionado. While they got their start in comedy on the stage in Rochester in 2014, they have long been consuming and making content for the internet since their first Neopets fan page in 2007 (and its natural successor, their Avengers fandom Tumblog in 2012). They enjoy making creative, longform jokes to engage their audience, and one of their many comedy goals is to be famous enough and good enough at improv to be on Critical Role. Feel free to give them a follow on their Instagram and see what content they are making next.
Steph Dalwin: Steph Dalwin (she/her) is a Boston-based standup comedian. She draws inspiration from her upbringing in a Vietnamese and Jewish household and in everyday situations like shopping while plus size, trips to the grocery store, and her quest for the perfect chicken nugget. Steph regularly performs in the Boston area, and recently performed at the Far From Here Comedy Festival in Toronto.
