CCT.pngThe Wharton Club of Boston and Community Consulting Teams of Boston are gathering for cocktails and conversation about community service and non-profit consulting on Thursday, October 18, 2018 at Brandy Pete’s in Boston. Enjoy complimentary appetizers while you network with service-minded business school alumni and hear about the Wharton Club’s partnership with CCT Boston to help local non-profits. CCT Boston assembles teams of MBA alumni from top business schools to provide pro bono management consulting for local non-profit organizations. The Wharton Club of Boston has been a proud sponsor of CCT volunteers for the past nine years.

Jane Money, Artistic Director of Boston City Singers, will talk briefly about the project that CCT completed for her organization last winter/spring and the impact it has had. With programs in Dorchester, Jamaica Plain and North Cambridge, Boston City Singers trains and inspires the musician, student, and ambassador in each singer by providing the highest level of musical instruction and wide-ranging performance opportunities to support personal development, stimulate neighborhood engagement and foster good will.

Wharton alumni who have served CCT as consultants, project managers, and board members will be present to talk with you about their experiences. You will also hear about some of the potential projects that will be staffed in the upcoming season.

We are now seeking volunteers for teams comprised of alumni from a variety of top business schools. As a CCT volunteer, you can benefit by:

  • Making an impact on a local non-profit in a fun and satisfying way
  • Networking with, and learning from MBA alumni from Wharton and other top schools with diverse backgrounds
  • Applying your business knowledge towards an interesting and challenging assignment
  • Learning how non-profits operate

The time commitment would be about 16 hours per month, for four to five months. Projects kick off in January, 2019 and run through May, 2019.
