Make your favorite cocktail and join The Wharton Club of Boston and Community Consulting Teams of Boston for a virtual happy hour and conversation about community service and non-profit consulting on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at 7 pm. Meet through ZOOM with service-minded Wharton alumni and hear about the Wharton Club’s partnership with CCT Boston to help local non-profits. CCT Boston assembles teams of MBA alumni from top business schools to provide pro bono management consulting for local non-profit organizations. The Wharton Club of Boston has been a proud sponsor of CCT volunteers for more than ten years.

Gerry DeRoche, Chief Executive Officer of NEADS will describe the multiple projects CCT has completed for NEADS and the impact CCT has had on his organization. Located in Princeton, MA, NEADS is a nonprofit that trains and provides service dogs for veterans, individuals with physical disabilities or hearing loss and children with autism.

Wharton alumni who have served CCT as consultants, project managers, and board members will describe their experiences. You will also hear about some of the potential projects that will be staffed in the upcoming season.

We are now seeking volunteers for teams comprised of alumni from a variety of top business schools. As a CCT volunteer, you can benefit by:

  • Making an impact on a local non-profit in a fun and satisfying way
  • Networking with, and learning from MBA alumni from Wharton and other top schools with diverse backgrounds
  • Applying your business knowledge towards an interesting and challenging assignment
  • Learning how non-profits operate

The time commitment would be about 16 hours per month, for four months. Projects kick off in February 2021 and run through May 2021. The projects will be conducted virtually, which enables volunteers to participate safely, from the comfort of their homes!

There's no cost to attend but please register by Tuesday, November 10

Registrants will receive a Zoom link on the morning of the meeting
