Review: Discussion on US Housing Markets with Wharton Real Estate Professor Susan Wachter & Georgetown Law Professor Adam Levitin

The Wharton Club of Boston hosted Wharton Real Estate Professor Susan Wachter and Georgetown Law Professor Adam Levitin to discuss their recently co-authored book, The Great American Housing Bubble. The professors started the conversation giving an overview of their publication, which focused on various factors that helped contribute to the Great Financial Crisis of 2007-2008. They later shared their views on how COVID-19 is impacting today’s housing market and whether they think we are currently in a housing “bubble”. Overall, the discussion was highly interactive and gave Wharton Club members an opportunity to ask these professors a variety of questions related to housing finance and economic policy.
