2023 Red and Blue
On September 19, The Wharton Club of Boston held its annual Red and Blue event at the beautiful PTC building in the Seaport. Orchestrated by Event Chair and Board Member Wendy Dalwin, over 50 Wharton Alumni attended, and the program was highlighted by a talk from Mike DiTullio, PTC President and Chief Operating Officer. In addition to Mike’s talk featuring all the different well-known brands which use PTC software, we heard from board member, Beth Somers Stutzman, about how business school grads continue to add significant value to nonprofits in need of business expertise to improve their effectiveness through Community Consulting Teams Boston (CCT). CCT offers pro bono strategic consulting projects to mission-driven nonprofits using teams of business professionals. Jeff Caplan, CCT board member and team leader of Umbrella Arts Center project also shared an enthusiastic letter of endorsement regarding this CCT team. “We are extremely grateful for their work with the Umbrella. We now have a plan with benchmarks to build back our audiences, and we are moving forward with confidence.” Other highlights included an overview of Wharton Club 2023 past events from WCOB co-Presidents, Jock Payten and David Rittner, a comedy show from FODBall productions and the election of Neal Piliavin as President, WCOB for the upcoming 3 year term.
