The Wharton Club of Boston and Community Consulting Teams (CCT) of Boston are gathering for Mimosas and light brunch to discuss community service and pro bono non-profit consulting. Enjoy complimentary refreshments while you network with service-minded business school alumni and hear about the Wharton Club’s partnership with CCT Boston to help local non-profits. CCT Boston assembles teams of MBA alumni from top business schools to provide pro bono management consulting for local non-profit organizations. The Wharton Club of Boston has been a proud sponsor of CCT teams for the past eight years. All Wharton graduates are welcome.

Candace Kidston, WG ’88 and Board Member of Roca, Inc. will talk briefly about the impact the Wharton/CCT partnership has had on Roca through three volunteer consulting assignments over the past five years. Roca, Inc. is a social service nonprofit whose mission is “to disrupt the cycle of incarceration and poverty by helping young people transform their lives.” It is one of the first US nonprofits receiving pay-for-success funding to fuel growth.

Wharton alumni who have served CCT as consultants, project managers, and board members will be present to talk with you about their experiences. You will also hear about some of the potential projects that will be staffed in the upcoming season.

We are now seeking volunteers for teams comprised of alumni from a variety of top business schools. As a CCT volunteer, you can benefit by:

  • Making an impact on a local non-profit in a fun and satisfying way
  • Networking with, and learning from other Wharton alumni with diverse backgrounds
  • Applying your business knowledge towards an interesting and challenging assignment
  • Learning how non-profits operate

The time commitment would be about 16 hours per month, for four to five months. Projects kick off in January, 2018 and run through May, 2018.

Mimosas and light brunch fare compliments of The Wharton Club of Boston and CCT Boston.

Registration closes on October 12th.
