Wharton Alumni having Social Impact
Wharton Alums Serve Boston Area Non-profits through Wharton Club of Boston partnership with Community Consulting Teams of Boston.
Recently, 16 Wharton alumni were among 100 MBAs meeting at the Microsoft Nerd Center in Cambridge to kick off volunteer consulting projects with Community Consulting Teams of Boston. The Wharton alumni will participate on nine teams of MBA’s from top business schools to provide consulting on marketing, capacity building, operations and strategy for Boston area non-profits such as Old North Foundation, the Charles River Conservancy, Children’s Health Watch, Hospitality Homes and Household Goods. The projects begin this month and end in June.
Community Consulting Teams of Boston (CCT) amplifies the impact of Boston-area nonprofits through pro bono management consulting projects performed by teams of experienced MBAs from top-tier business schools. The Wharton Club of Boston has been partnering with CCT for eight years. Wharton alumni serve in a variety of leadership roles in the all-volunteer organization as well as serving on the CCT project teams.
